Running DDMS

How it works

When DDMS is started, DDMS connects to ADB. VM following service is created between ADB and DDMS and DDMS is notified if the VM is started or expired on the device.

Making Call

In DDMS, select the Emulator Control tab. On the control tab of the emulator, click on the voice to start entering the called number.

Next, call the emulator by clicking the call button.

Click Hang in the Android Studio window to end the call. Just drag the notification window to the center with the mouse, you can see fake SMS and call from notification.

Capturing ScreenShot

You can also capture screenshots of the emulator. It will look for the camera icon on the right side of the device tab. Just place the mouse over it and select it. If selected, the screen capture process starts and the screen of the currently active emulator is captured.

In case

You can change the direction of the solar eclipse using Ctrl + F11 key. You can now exit the screen capture dialog by saving, rotating, or selecting Exit.

Sqlite3

SQLite 3 is a command line program for managing SQLite database created with Android application. You can also execute SQL statements using this tool.

There are two ways to use SQLite from the remote shell and use it locally.

We will use Sqlite3 from the remote shell.

Enter the following command to enter the remote shell.

  • ADB [- d | – e | – s {<serialNumber>}] shell

Use Sqlite3 directly

Copy the database file from the device.

  • ADB pull <database-file-on-device>

Start the sqlite3 tools directory and specify the database file.

  • SQLite 3 <host on database file>

Platform tools

The platform tool has been customized to support the latest Android platform features.
